PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

Summary of Position: Manage the Purchasing, Expediting and Traffic functions, to ensure the requisition of all materials and services required for successful completion of projects. Further, to ensure materials are purchased on a timely basis, at the most cost-advantage prices and delivered in accordance with customer requirements.  Reports to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

  • Purchase and deliver major project components in accordance with project and customer requirements – balancing price, delivery and product quality.
  • Expedite purchases and maintain an updated delivery schedule
  • Ensure the purchasing system provides management with accurate and current financial and delivery status information for each Graver job.
  • Develop, recommend and implement new or improved Purchasing policies and practices.
  • Locate additional qualified suppliers and monitor the effectiveness of existing suppliers.
  • Monitor market conditions to advise marketing and engineering of current supply market conditions.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of purchasing files, reports and vendor listings.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in related fields of engineered equipment and services
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a management capacity
  • Knowledge and ability to work with computer purchasing systems
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work with both outside vendors and Graver internal departments including engineering, accounting and project management
  • Spoken and written communication is clear and concise.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize purchases based on the delivery requirements in the project plan
  • Experience with Infor Syteline ERP a major plus!

SALES APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING MANAGER

Summary of Position: This position is accountable for managing inside Sales Applications Engineers, making bid/no bid decisions on inquiries received; supervising preparation and follow-up of equipment sales proposals; strategic review and approval of all proposal pricing, training department personnel on sales procedures and ensuring ongoing adherence; developing company sales projections.  Reports to the President.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate customer inquiries and make bid/no bid decisions
  • Direct the preparation of equipment sales proposals and pricing
  • Follow-up on proposals and secure profitable business for the company
  • Supervise the preparation of complete and accurate kickoff packages from sales to project management
  • Interface and develop sales opportunities with sales rep network
  • Experience with Infor Syteline ERP a major plus!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Good communication skills, customer facing
  • Effective management skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
