Wastewater Treatment for Food and Beverage

Treatment of your wastewater is crucial in meeting your environmental discharge limits and be in compliance.  In addition, Graver’s wastewater systems are focused on treating your wastewater to a quality for recycle and reuse.  This reduces the freshwater required for your process while reducing your overall system operating cost.

OUR EXPERTISE

Marmon Industrial Water is a key supplier of water and waste water treatment solutions to many industries and more recently, provides solutions to the Food and Beverage industries to meet the more stringent discharge and volume limits that often result in costly surcharges or bottleneck production.  MIW can supply a more cost effective solution when compared with biological systems.

  1. Wastewater accumulated in the Equalization tank is pretreated with chemicals to aid the flocculation/coagulation and sent to a clarifer.   The sludge is sent to a thickener for additional solid/liquid separation and finally to the optional filter press for final dewatering and exits the plant as a solid waste for land application or feed to other uses.  The effluent from the sludge thickener is sent back to the EQ tank for reprocessing.
  2. The clarified water from the clarifier is sent to a holding tank and then through a Ultrafiltration (UF) system for solids removal, break tank and then to a series of Reverse Osmosis systems for final polishing of dissolved solids and organics.
  3. The resulting product is sent to sewer discharge meeting the discharge requirements or stored for water reuse applications.  The addition of a reject recovery RO concentrates and minimized the the subsequent RO reject for disposal.
